Radiant Tube Heaters

Radiant tube heaters have many applications from factories and warehouses to sports halls, aircraft hangers, supermarkets, exhibition halls and retail premises. The heaters consist of a gas fired flame within the emitter tube which causes the heat to radiate invisible 'heat energy'. This energy gently warms the surfaces and people in direct line of sight, without warming the air. The heat is precisely generated at the place where it is needed [warehouse, workplace, production etc.]. The reflectors located above the radiant tubes guide the infrared rays to the occupancy level. Additionally by insulating the reflectors the loss of heat energy through the reflector is reduced making radiant tube heaters highly efficient, and ideal for either a total heating system or for zonal/spot heating specific locations. These heaters can be controlled by a building management system (BMS) or by standalone local controls.

Radiant Plaques

Radiant plaque heaters are used for infrared heating systems in industrial and commercial buildings, logistics facilities and workshops. The core component of the infrared gas heater is the ceramic tile. The infrared energy is generated by the combustion of a gas-air mixture in the ceramic tile. The surface of the ceramic tile heats up to 950 °C and emits infrared radiation. Reflectors direct the radiation downwards into the common area. Excellent performance and efficiency is achieved by every radiant plaque heater. Plaque heaters are also characterised by their especially clean combustion with extremely low NOx values. This is a feature of infrared heating systems that is becoming increasingly important. These heaters can be installed with standalone controls or as part of an integrated building management system.

Air Heaters

Air heaters come in various forms, suspended from above or wall mounted, ducted to draw fresh air from outside or a simple ambient air unit. The heaters are comprised of a gas burner which fires into a tubular heat exchanger, and two fans. One fan is a gas and combustion fan and the other is an air circulation fan to draw cool in cool air, pass it over the heat exchanger and blow warm air out of the other side. Our team will work with you to design a system that best suits your needs. If just the basic heating in a hall is the main priority, then warm air heaters with quiet axial fans are best suited. For air renewal, on the other hand, warm air heaters with radial fans and duct systems creating a uniform distribution are the best choice. We work with the most reputable manufacturers to design each system of heating units individually. This is done to provide the most efficient system in each environment. For instance, in complex halls with office facilities, several floors or separate hall sections, a combination of classic infrared systems and warm air heaters can be an excellent option.

Commercial/Modular Boilers

A popular choice for schools, offices, apartment buildings with district heating and many other wet central heating applications. Modular boilers can be cascaded to suit the heat requirement of the property, with many manufacturers now producing boilers that exceed the CIBSE minimum requirements. The boilers can be compact and vertically stackable, allowing for maximum flexibility and maximised space for the dwelling by reducing the size requirement of the plant room. Stackable modular boilers can deliver an output of 762kW whilst taking up less than 1m² of floor space.
To ensure an efficient heat network, it is important not to oversize the plant. This is where modular boilers come into play. They are designed as an alternative to large single boilers and each module can be a separate boiler installed alongside another in a horizontal arrangement or vertical stack. Each boiler has a turndown ratio which effectively influ
ences the fuel consumption and output for more efficient heating. Modular boilers can operate at a lower modulation which lowers energy consumption. Another consideration in a commercial application is downtime. No one enjoys being without heat and hot water for any period of time, but in many commercial applications, downtime - whether for routine maintenance or due to mechanical breakdown - can be disruptive, expensive, and even damaging to reputation or health. In the unlikely event of one of the boilers in the system failing, a modular boiler will ensure the system as a whole remains in operation. When it comes to routine maintenance, each boiler can also be taken offline independently of the others, again allowing for continuation of supply. This makes modular boilers perfect for commercial systems as it dramatically reduces the risk of your commercial building being without heat or hot water.
